Decided to take a zero here at the Braaten's. Tom's shin was horribly painful last night - it hurt just walking 1/2 mile down the road to do laundry and eat.
Everyone else staying here last night packed up and left. It was kind of nice to have the place to ourselves. The house heated up quickly as the sun came up. We relaxed by reading magazines and books. Walked down to the Carabou store for burgers and to help out with some of the dirty laundry (ie: towels, loaner clothes, etc) Came back. Brenda invided me to help her pick blackberries down the road - a first for me. There were tons of blackberries to be picked. I guess she goes out there every 3 days or so - makes syrup and also freezes berries for baking pies, muffins, etc. Yum!
