August 7th - Etna to Marble Valley Guard Station

Transcriber's Note: Tom writing.

Got a hitch out of town to Enta Summit around 9am. Worried that we might get stuck hiking the 15 miles up to the trailhead. Couple of Forest Service fellows provided the ride.

Ran into Why Not and Why Wait late in the afternoon. Chatted with them briefly about their visit in Etna.

Temps were cool today. Made for easy hiking and an enjoyable day. Knocked out 25 miles. Not bad considering the fact that we didn't start our hike until 9:20 in the morning.

Day ended at Marble Mountain Guard Station. Spacious area surrounding the ranger hut. Lots of options for campsites.

Why Not and Why Wait shared the grounds. Was nice to camp near somebody else. We rarely do so.
