So, this Hiker Heaven place is so comfy and relaxing...we just HAD to stay another day. My quad was still feeling a little stiff and Tom was still battling with his poison oak. Typically, there is a 2 night max at Hiker Heaven, but luckily Donna let us stay another night since the place wasn't slammed with people.
Since yesterday we did errands all day, today felt more like a real zero. Just sat around chilling and visiting with the other thru-hikers. Watched lots of movies, read a PCT book (Zero Days - good book by the way!), played with the dogs, talked to my parents, and just relaxed in general. Tom ended up going to the doctor to get a shot for the poison oak since it wasn't going away with either Zenfel or Tecnu.
I always heard it was difficult to leave Hiker Heaven and I now can see why. But ahhhh...the trail is calling and we need to finish it one of these days...so we plan to head off tomorrow.
