Transcriber's note: Tom writing.
Yee haw! We arrived at our first Oregon town! Ashland, Or is just off of I-5 and just north of the California border.
This little berg is famous for its annual Shakespeare festival. Our time here is limited so we won't be able to partake in the festivities. Word on the street is that every night during the summer you can watch a Shakespeare play and the actors and actresses are superb. I hear it's a bit like a Trekie conventions for fans of all things Shakespearian.
Callahans Lodge provided us with our first real breakfast in tow. The lodge isn't actually in town. It is a few miles south of Ashland where the PCT crosses I-5. Anyway, we were treated like royalty and provided with one free beer. I really like Callahan's. Good grub and good people.
Picked up a new pair of shoes and other junk in the mail. Ran errands and ate Mexican food for dinner.
Tori is the most beautiful woman on the planet. Her light blue hiking shirt looks great eventhough it's the same shirt she's worn every day for three months. Man, she's amazing. So glad that she married me. That's it. On to Cascade Locks.
